Coming off a 2nd place finish at last season’s 2014 USACFC Club Championships, the Men’s team started their season with the Temple Open in Philadelphia. The tournament is an individual tournament that traditionally marks the start of the collegiate fencing season. This season the men’s team features three seniors, Captain Sabreist Matthew Laks, Sabreist Steven Pochapin and Epeeist Mike Peraza. The team’s composition is very young, with 4 new freshmen starters along with three returning sophomores, suggesting long term success for the team moving forward.

Congratulations to all members of the class of 2018!  There are two great opportunities to meet with us before the start of our season. The first is the Club Sports Fair which will be held on August 30th in the Helen Newman Gymnasium from 12pm-2pm. The next event is Club Fest, which will be held on September 7th in Barton Hall from 1pm-4pm. We welcome and encourage all prospective fencers to stop by these events.
