 The Cornell Big Red Fencing Team had a very solid showing at MACFA Champs on March 2nd. They finished in 4th place overall, missing third place by a very small margin. Cornell finished as the top club team in MACFA and plan on riding their momentum to Club Champs in the beginning of April.

On Saturday March 2nd the Cornell Men?s Fencing Team travelled to College Park, Maryland to compete in the MACFA Championships on Sunday March 3rd. The MACFA Championships pins MACFA teams head to head to put the teams, individual squads, and individual fencers to the test. At the end of the day, the team with the most victories and touches scored across all three weapons would be crowned the MACFA Champion.

On November 18th, The Big Red Men traveled to Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania to compete in the first MACFA tournament of the year, the A vs. B meet. The Red were pitted up against Army, Haverford College, Stevens Institute of Technology, NJIT and Yeshiva. The Big Red went 3-2 on the day, beating Army, Haverford and Yeshiva and losing to Stevens and NJIT. The sabre squad for the A vs. B meet was Captain Zach Silversmith, Benjamin Jaeger and Matthew Laks. The new-look foil squad included junior Matt Joe, and freshmen Dalton Kamish and Austin Chien.
