The Cornell Men’s Fencing Club traveled to Hartford, CT for the 2012 USACFC Championships (United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs). We placed 3rd out of 35 men’s programs. The Sabre squad finished the weekend 68-3 on their way to a national title. The Foil squad finished 5th and the Epee squad finished 9th. It was a great weekend and a great end to the fencing careers of Seniors Nick Heiner, Bryan Mills, and Tim Gao.

The Men’s Fencing Club hosted Rutgers, Lafayette and RPI this past sunday at the Stifel Fencing Salle. Cornell defeated all three to improve its season record to 8-0. The foil and sabre squads remained undefeated as well, with foil looking to threepeat as MACFA champions this year. The Big Red will return to action on February 12th at Drew University against MACFA’s B region which includes SIT, NJIT, USMA, Hunter College, and Yeshiva University.

Congratulations to all members of the class of 2015! There will be optional meetings for those interested in joining the team this fall, where you can meet some of the Men’s and Women’s fencers and get information about our program. We will have a table set up on Rawlings Green outside of Appel Commons on Sunday August 21st from 5PM-7PM.
